1 Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your journey?

Dindi Naturals was born from a personal need and a deep desire to do things differently. In 2007, founder Pip Guyatt began handcrafting natural soaps in her kitchen to help soothe her son’s sensitive skin. What started as a mother’s solution quickly grew into a thriving small business. Today, Dindi Naturals creates a beautiful range of skincare, body and home products, all made in small batches with care, using only ethically sourced, sustainable ingredients. Our solar-powered factory is nestled in the heart of regional Victoria, where we’re proud to blend nature, science and purpose.

2 What inspired you to start your eco-friendly business?

Dindi Naturals was born from a personal need, creating natural, skin-loving products to help soothe my son’s skin sensitivities. What began at the kitchen bench grew into something much bigger, guided early on by the simple motto: “skin salvation, planet protection.” While that phrase was where it all started, our vision has since evolved. Today, our focus is broader; centered on creating high-performing, plant-based products that are kind to both people and planet, made with integrity every step of the way.

At Dindi Naturals, we’re deeply committed to sustainable and ethical practices, and we believe that living in harmony with nature means looking after each other too. Just as biodiversity supports the health of our ecosystems, diversity and connection strengthen our communities. It’s all part of the same beautiful web of care that underpins everything we do.

3 Tell us about the products you make. What makes them unique?

At Dindi Naturals, we create luxurious, botanical-rich skincare, body and home products that honour both people and planet. Each product is handcrafted in small batches at our solar-powered boutique factory in the heart of Victoria’s pristine Murrindindi Shire, surrounded by nature and inspired by it. What makes our range truly unique is the care and intention behind every step. We use only the finest quality, bio-active ingredients, always palm oil free, cruelty free, and ethically sourced.

Our formulations are rich in plant-based actives that are gentle yet effective, designed to nourish skin and uplift the senses, without compromising on sustainability. 4 How do you source your materials?

We’re incredibly selective about the ingredients we use because we know that what goes into our products directly impacts the health of your skin, your home, and the planet. The botanical ingredients in our skincare and body products are not only abundant in quality, they’re also expertly extracted to preserve the full plant profile, just as nature intended.

Our extraction process is designed to maintain the integrity of the plant’s bio-matrix, ensuring the nutrients remain potent, active, and easily absorbed by the skin. These bio-available compounds are essentially pure skin food - clean, fresh, and highly effective. For our home range, we use only natural botanicals that are free from synthetics, fillers, or anything unnecessary. Whether you're misting them into the air or onto fabrics, you can trust they’re safe, gentle, and genuinely delightful. It's all part of our commitment to conscious, plant-powered living.

5 What does sustainability mean to you and your business?

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do at Dindi Naturals. It’s not just a goal or a marketing term, it’s an ongoing commitment that shapes every decision we make. From the ingredients we source to the way we package and produce our products; we’re always looking for ways to tread more lightly on the planet. It’s been a long and considered journey to reach the level of sustainability we hold ourselves to today, and it hasn’t always been easy. But as founder and product developer Pip Guyatt often says, the effort, time and investment are not only necessary - they’re absolutely worth it. Our guiding philosophy is to be gentle on both the earth and you, and that principle continues to lead us forward as we evolve, adapt and deepen our environmental and ethical practices. Sustainability, for us, is a living value, one we’re proud to carry into everything we create.

6 What challenges have you faced in building a sustainable brand?

Building a truly sustainable brand means constantly staying alert and accountable and that can be challenging. It’s not a one-time decision, but an ongoing process of research, reassessment and adaptation. One of the biggest hurdles we’ve faced is ensuring that our suppliers continue to uphold the same values we built Dindi Naturals on. For example, maintaining a palm oil free supply chain has required us to change supplier’s multiple times over the years. Some have been bought out by larger companies or shifted their practices in ways that no longer align with our ethics.

We’re always monitoring, always questioning, and always prepared to make the harder choice if it means staying true to our principles. That’s the reality of running a sustainable business, it’s not always the easiest path, but it’s the only one we’re willing to take.

7 What are you most proud of in your journey so far?

What we’re most proud of is staying true to our values, especially when it would have been easier not to. From the very beginning, we’ve refused to compromise on the quality, sustainability, or ethics behind our ingredients and packaging choices. There have been many moments where more convenient or cost-effective options were available, but we’ve always chosen the path that aligns with our principles. Whether it’s sourcing truly sustainable materials or ensuring our products remain palm oil free, cruelty free, and environmentally kind, we continue to put integrity before profit. That commitment isn’t always the easiest, but it’s what defines Dindi Naturals and it’s why we’re here today, proud of what we’ve built and the community that supports us.

8 Any tips for customers who want to live an eco-friendlier lifestyle?

Firstly, thank you. Every conscious choice you make, no matter how small, truly matters. We know that living more sustainably is not always the easiest, most convenient, or cheapest option. But every time you choose to support ethical businesses, reduce waste, or prioritise natural ingredients, you are helping to shape a better, healthier world.

Our tip is to start small and stay curious. Whether it is switching to reusable items, shopping locally, or reading labels more carefully, each step counts. And most importantly, do not underestimate the impact of your choices. You are not just supporting brands like ours; you are helping keep a movement alive.
